Moreton School’s Administrative Faculty provides a professional administrative service to support students, colleagues and Governors in achieving the school’s aims and objectives.
The Faculty facilitates a support service to parents and carers through its switchboard and Reception messaging, assistance with the provision of Free School Meals, and by offering a comprehensive school uniform shop. It administers a full-time First Aid provision for students; parents/carers are welcome to contact First Aid to discuss their child’s medical needs.
Its finance section arranges timely delivery of goods and services required by the school, ensuring compliance with Government financial legislation, including Audit regulations and Value For Money principles. UK and overseas visits are administered for students’ participation, as are student reward schemes.
Student data is held on a secure data system and enables academic progress to be tracked, reports to be issued and Examination entries to be processed. The Reprographics Department offers a cost-effective printing, copying and design facility to staff to support the production of student resources (according to the Copyright Licensing Act) and through its creative displays, celebrate students’ achievements.
Its Human Resources division deals with the appointment of all teaching and non-teaching staff at the school, processing contracts with Wolverhampton City Council and ensuring all appointees and volunteers receive an enhanced Criminal Record Bureau check. Health and Safety adherence is monitored by the Faculty as is the security of the site.
The Faculty reports regularly to the Governing Body on the service outlined above.
